We hung out by the infinity pool quite a bit at Marina Bay Sands. This is the ENTIRE reason we went to Singapore was to stay at this 5-star resort. Was it worth it? Yes. Did we LOVE it? Yes! Would we go again? Yes, can’t wait!
I shared my thoughts on Marina Bay Sands why we stayed here and more details like cost, check-in etc. This is post is part two and covers more about the Infinity Pool, Sky Deck, and more.
At the SkyPark taking a selfie!
You haven’t seen Singapore until you’ve seen it from Sands SkyPark Observation Deck which is 57 levels high. The SkyPark is accessible only to hotel guests but there is a public portion of the SkyPark that has an observation deck with a fee to access. The SkyPark Observation Deck is open daily for a hefty fee (unless you are a hotel guest – it’s free) and is subject to availability.
There are a couple of restaurants and bars you can eat at on the Skypark. In fact, if you eat at Spago you can catch a glimpse of the world-famous infinity pool. If you are not a hotel guest but would like to see the infinity pool and some views at the top, I personally would book reservations at the restaurants/bar to eat and see the view rather than pay to go to the observation deck. You can go to the Skybar (level 57) and order a drink and enjoy a night out. You pay a fee per person but there is a credit voucher towards food and/or drinks. There are a few seats right on the edge near the infinity pool with amazing views. What the SkyPark looks like from below (shown below)
Now you will get a better overall view from the SkyPark Observation Deck due to the 360 degree views. However to sit at the Skybar with 180 degree views in comfort with some food that can be pretty sensational. At Skybar you at least can get some food or drinks. A decision you need to make.
A video below shows some footage near the jacuzzi’s same level as the SkyPark.
The entrance to the pool is accessible only by your room keycard and has a MBS employee guarding the entrance. You can see the entrance to Spago on the right.
Here is what the MBS says about the Infinity pool:
To ensure that you have the best experience with us, access to the Infinity Pool is restricted to registered hotel guests only via their individual room key card, which needs to be presented to gain access; one key card per person. For the comfort of arriving guests, we are unable to accommodate pool usage after check-out.
This side of the pool seems more like the kiddy pool with shallow depths and a glass enclosure.
The world-famous infinity pool
The pool. The world’s largest rooftop infinity pool is approximately 490 feet long across Sands SkyPark. The pool is up 57 stories high. You cannot access the pool on the deck unless you are a hotel guest.
Accessible only by hotel guests, the iconic Infinity Pool at Marina Bay Sands has a stunning city-skyline view not found at any other Singapore hotel. I would recommend an early morning swim if you prefer to have fewer people or a late afternoon dip to catch the lovely sunset. I love sitting by a pool and reading. This pool I actually got in and swam. This is a must if you want to go to the edge and overlook the city of Singapore. COMPLETELY AMAZING. I loved every minute there.
Early morning hours at the pool. Peaceful, warm and balmy during their summer months.
This image was taken near the jacuzzi. The jacuzzies are on the opposite side of the infinity pool and offer a beautiful sunrise in the morning.
Another sunrise near the jacuzzies.

Near the pool at night.
Was the MBS infinity pool all that it was hyped up to be? Yes! We loved every moment.
The views were spectacular, the weather was warm and beauiful – perfect for laying out by the pool. The pool water was too cold for my liking. But I did get in. They have an area for kids to play in the end of pool. Which is great when you want some peace and quite while laying around and relaxing.
Would I stay here again? YES!!
